Irving R. Fulcher was a legendary carver from the Stacy community of Down East, a fishing village along Core Sound that fostered many carvers in the early 1900s, possibly the most of any Core Sound Community. Irving's style is reflective of the Stacy style of carving, pioneered and developed by generations of Fulchers, Willis's and Masons.
