Antique E. REMINGTON & SON's Model 1 Cal. .50 Percussion Rolling Block Rifle. Difficult to discern what is stamped on the end of the rolling block, likely "E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION, N.Y. USA" (with numerous 1870's dates). Appears to be Farsi engravings near rolling block could indicate an 1870's rolling block purchased by British Empire used to arm Egyptian Army during Mahdist War.
